Mumbai: The manner in which Australia started the innings at the Wankhede Stadium and the manner in which it ended, it had a completely floor-like finish. Australia made a brisk start thanks to Mitchell Marsh’s strong innings, but even after this, the entire team was bundled out for 188 runs in just 36 overs. This innings of Australia was full of ups and downs but during this one player remained constant – Mohammed Shami, who troubled Australia at the beginning of the innings and then destroyed them within 15 balls.
Australia batted first in this match and Mohammad Siraj gave India the first success by dismissing Travis Head in the second over itself. Despite this, Mitchell Marsh was batting strongly, but Mohammed Shami was not giving chances from the other side and was bowling tightly. However, he did not get success.
Shami blew the stumps in the air
After Shami came to bowl in his second spell, by that time Australia’s score was 168 for 4 wickets. 27 overs were completed and Mohammed Shami came for the 28th over. Josh English hit a six on the third ball of this over. The fourth ball remained empty and Shami’s panic started from here. The very next one who returned the pavilion to the English. English stumps disintegrated.
Then in the next over, Shami returned again and blew Cameron Green and Australia’s senses on the third ball. Shami’s ball hit Green’s bat and took his off stump several feet back. No runs came in this over.
