The IPL 2023 season is about to start from March 31, whose first match will be played between the defending champions Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings and some new commentators will also be seen making their IPL debut.

The new season of the Indian Premier League is about to begin. IPL 2023 will begin on March 31 with a match between defending champions Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. Like every time, this IPL will be special for many reasons, but this time this season is going to be special because of a person who was infamous because of this tournament and is now making a comeback from it. With the IPL season starting from March 31, former India fast bowler Sreesanth is going to return to this league after 10 years. In 2013, Sreesanth was arrested for spot-fixing in IPL and then banned for life by the BCCI. Sreesanth was a part of Rajasthan Royals at that time. (BCCI)

Apart from Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankit Chavan from Rajasthan were also sacked on charges of spot-fixing. After this a long court case went on and then the Delhi High Court cleared him of the charges. Later the BCCI reduced Sreesanth’s ban to 7 years and then he returned to domestic cricket from Kerala.
