New Delhi: T20 cricket is dominated all over the world. T20 franchise cricket is also getting successful in spreading its charm. Meanwhile, the 50-over format is fighting for its survival. Cricket has become such a busy time that now players are choosing one format.

Legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar on Friday lamented the dwindling interest in ODI cricket, saying the format is definitely getting boring and dominated by bowlers. Tendulkar said, ‘There is no doubt that it is getting boring. The current format uses two new balls per innings. When you are using two new balls, you are essentially eliminating reverse swing.

He further said, ‘Even though we are in the 40th over of the match, the ball is already 20 overs old. After 30 overs, the ball starts reverse swinging. With new balls it’s going away. I believe the bowlers dominate in the current format. Now the match has become quite predictable. It is losing its rhythm from 15th to 40th over. This is getting boring.

can use this formula

Sachin Tendulkar believes there is no harm in keeping the 50-over format alive. Teams should change batting and bowling after every 25 overs. This will give the opposing team a chance to equalize. Toss, dew and other conditions have to be removed from this.

The master blaster said, “That’s why both the teams should bowl in the first and second innings.” By the way, this will also be beneficial because it will have three brakes instead of two.

Sachin Tendulkar’s opinion for Test cricket

Let us tell you that the three Test matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia have ended within three days. Meanwhile, there was a lot of criticism of the pitches but Tendulkar said that it is the responsibility of the cricketers that they have to play on different pitches. This veteran batsman has also appealed that to maintain the attraction of Test cricket, it should not be seen how many days the match ends but how many people watch it.

Talking on Sports Talk, Sachin Tendulkar said, ‘One thing we should understand is that Test cricket should be interesting and not in how many days it should be over or the result should come in five days. Cricketers have to play in different conditions and pitches.
