India’s star batsman Suryakumar Yadav hit another big inning earlier this week, hitting his second century in T20 Internationals. He scored an unbeaten 111 from just 51 balls at Mount Maunganui in New Zealand, in which India lost the match to New Zealand by 65 runs. SKY batted at a strike rate of 217.65, which included eleven fours and seven sixes, earning him praise from all over the world. Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is also one of his fans.

Maxwell shared his thoughts on this innings. He said, “I didn’t know the match was happening. But later I saw the scorecard, took a screenshot and sent it to Aaron Finch and said, ‘What’s going on here? He is playing completely different. See everyone’s scores. And this guy scores. See 111 runs in 50 balls.

The next best score for India in the 2nd T20I was Ishan Kishan’s 36 off 31 balls.

Maxwell said, “I saw the full replay of the innings afterwards and it was a shame that he was doing so much better than everyone else. It is very difficult to see him. We don’t have anyone with him. He sweeps against the bowler who bowls.” at 145. He does. He is playing some amazing shots that I have never seen and he is playing those shots with such ease.

Suryakumar Yadav, the current number one T20 batsman, is enjoying the best of form in international cricket. He was also the third highest run-scorer in the recently concluded T20 World Cup.

Maxwell also spoke about Suryakumar’s innings against South Africa during the T20 World Cup. In this match played in Perth, India was defeated by five wickets. With India at 49/5 in 8.3 overs after the departure of the openers, Suryakumar’s 40-ball 68 took India to a respectable 133/9.

Maxwell said, “The innings he played in Perth was one of the best innings he has ever played. I batted there a few days back. It’s unbelievable, especially for an Indian to bat in those conditions and look so good.”
