On Sunday, a bad news came out for the cricket fans. Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds has died in a car accident. The 46-year-old Symonds’ car was involved in an accident in Townsville, Queensland. There is a wave of mourning in the cricket world and his fans due to the death of Symonds. Former Australian Test cricketer Shane Warne died of a heart attack in early March this year.

According to Queensland Police, preliminary investigation revealed that Andrew Symonds’s car collided with a speeding car on Harvey Range Road near Ellis River Bridge at around 11 a.m. but overturned. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police immediately reached the spot and he was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Symonds was seriously injured in the accident and could not be saved.

 

Andrew Symonds made his ODI debut in 1998. Symonds scored 5,088 runs in 198 ODIs for Australia, including 5 centuries and 30 fifties. Symonds made his Test debut on 8 March 2004 and scored 1462 runs in 26 matches.
