This IPL ad of Dhoni will no longer be visible, who cares what happened to the ad
New Delhi: The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) has asked the Indian Premier League (IPL) to remove a promotional advertisement. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is seen in this advertisement. The council took this decision after a complaint from the Road Safety Organization. The complaint states that the advertisement promotes violation of traffic rules.
According to the complaint, the Consumer Unity and Trust Society (CUTS) filed a suit against the declaration. Dhoni is shown as a bus driver in this advertisement. He stops the bus in the middle of a busy road. The ad shows that if a policeman comes there, Dhoni asks a question, the answer is, I am watching the IPL super over. Traffic policemen go away during IPL considering it normal.
ASCI has decided to consider the complaint. In addition, members of the Consumer Complaints Committee (CCC) met representatives of the company that created the advertisement and viewed the advertisement. ASCI acknowledges that this is a violation of the Advertising Rules. The company has been directed to remove or replace the advertisement by April 20. The Company has accepted the same and has given an undertaking in writing that it will remove the advertisement.
This video of Dhoni became viral on social media in no time. The caption accompanying the video says – Talking about IPL, fans can go to any extent to watch the match. Because #YehAbNormalHai!, what do you expect from this new season’
