Table Tennis: Gujarat Super League will start from August 17, 8 franchise teams will play
After the resounding success of the Indian Premier League in India, the league culture in every sport is starting one after the other. In which national level league has started in sports like Kabaddi, Tennis, Volleyball, Football. After that league culture has started at the state level as well. This league culture greatly improves the level of play and player earnings. As a part of which the Gujarat Table Tennis Association has organized the Gujarat Super Table Tennis League.
A total of 32 matches will be played between 8 teams in the league.
Let us tell you that the entire match of this table tennis league will be played in Ahmedabad city. The first season of the Gujarat Super League of Table Tennis will be played in Ahmedabad from August 17 to 21. So in this table tennis league 32 matches will be played between total 8 teams. In which there will be a robin stage in the first round and then the final match like IPL will be played after the qualifiers and eliminator rounds. In this entire league, a total of 8 teams will take to the field for 4 days. For this season, a total amount of up to Rs 22 lakh has been spent to include the players in the team.
Star player Harmeet Desai will also enter the field in this league.
On the other hand, the important players participating in the tournament are Shenil Shetty, Manush Shah, Manav Thakkar, Shreeja Akula (Shrija Shukla), Mouma besides Harmeet Desai, who have currently won gold medal in Commonwealth Games (Commonwealth Games 2022). Das, Kritika Sinha Roy, Ishaan Hingorani, Franz Chipia, Filja Qadri will be seen.

Regarding Gujarat Super Table Tennis League, state association president Vipul Mitra said, “Why only cricketers are considered as stars and why do they earn more, they decided to start the league. The league will increase the popularity of table tennis and the stardom of the players. The league will also try to bring in foreign players in future.
