Shock to Team India, batsman who hit 7 sixes in one over out of T20 series
The Indian cricket team has won the ODI series against New Zealand by performing brilliantly. The Indian team made a clean sweep by defeating the visiting team 3-0. India has to play T20 after ODI. Before this important series, Team India has suffered a big setback. The opener may be ruled out of the T20I series against New Zealand due to a wrist injury.
Earlier Sri Lanka was out of the series
Hours after India won the ODI series against New Zealand yesterday, it was reported that opener Rituraj Gaikwad has been injured. Earlier, he was also dismissed in the Sri Lanka series. Due to his good performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, the selectors had given him a place in the team but it is very difficult for him to play in the series against New Zealand. In this series, Hardik Pandya will lead the team while Suryakumar Yadav will play the role of vice-captain.
What did the BCCI official say?
A BCCI official told that Rituraj is currently in NCA due to a wrist injury. We do not yet know the extent of his injury. There is not much time left for the series to start so it is difficult to fit in on time. He will have to undergo scans and we will know only after the reports come. Right now we have 4 to 5 openers in the team. It all depends on the selectors whether they take his name or not.
