Presence of fans will motivate players to give their best on the mat: Manpreet Singh
New Delhi, 23 September (H.S.). In the first half of Pro Kabaddi League Season 9, Haryana Steelers will start their campaign against Bengal Warriors on 8 October at Sri Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.
Speaking about his first match in Season 6, Steelers head coach Manpreet Singh said, “We are looking forward to our first match against a strong team like Bengal Warriors. Our players have been working hard for over a month now, and we are confident that we are ready for the competition.”
The JSW Sports-owned Haryana Steelers team will compete in 11 matches between the months of October and November, which will be played at two venues – Sri Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru and Sri Shivchatrapati Sports Complex (Badminton Court), Balewadi in Pune. This time around, fans will have a chance to come back to the stadium and see their favorite stars in action.
Coach Manpreet said the presence of fans will motivate the players to give their best on the mat.
He said, “All the athletes always enjoy competing with the fans. It motivates the player to do his best in each and every game. We are confident that the presence of fans will allow our players to play freely and enjoy the atmosphere. We are looking forward to the start of the season.”
