Asia Cup 2022: The Asia Cup tournament will begin from August 27 in the United Arab Emirates. India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will be teams in this tournament. All five teams are fighting to win the title. But Pakistan’s team is already ready for Asia Cup. Pakistan has announced the squad for the Asia Cup. But fast bowler Hasan Ali has been shown the way out. Hasan Ali was the villain for Pakistan in the T20 World Cup. Because of Hasan Ali, the Pakistan team had to face defeat against Australia in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup.

Naseem Shah has been selected in the team in place of Hasan Ali, who is running in poor form. Despite being injured, fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has been selected in the team. At present, Shaheen Shah Afridi has not been able to play the second Test on the tour of Sri Lanka due to injury. Afridi has been selected in both the teams by the Pakistan selection committee and is under the supervision of a trainer and physio. On the other hand, Pakistani selectors have not given batsman Shan Masood a place in the team. Masood scored a century in the test match against Sri Lanka.

Chief selector Muhammad Wasim said, “We have made the necessary changes. Asia Cup is important for us. For this, we have selected the best players after consulting the captain and the head coach. The player’s training camp will start from August 11. In this, two matches of 50 overs will be played. The ODI series against Netherlands will be played from 16 to 21 August. Then there will be the Asia Cup tournament from 27 August to 11 September.
