New South Wales signs full-time contract with Hayden Kerr
Sydney, May 11 (H.S.). New South Wales have signed a full-time contract with Australian all-rounder Hayden Kerr, who performed well in the Sheffield Shield 2021-22.
Kerr scored a half-century on his first-class debut against Victoria followed by 88 against Tasmania. He emerged as the season’s player of the season for the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League.
New South Wales men’s chief of cricket Michael Klinger said: “Hayden Kerr had a great run in the Australian domestic season. He fully deserves his opportunity for a New South Wales contract.”
Apart from Kerr, New South Wales have also signed a full-time contract with fast bowler Ryan Headley.
New South Wales finished fourth in the Sheffield Shield last season and lost to Western Australia in the final of the Marsh Cup.
