Indian team under the leadership of Rohit Sharma will leave for Australia on 5 October

To prepare for the T20 World Cup, the Indian team has to play a series of three T20 matches against Australia and South Africa. The Indian team will leave for Australia after playing six T20 matches 15 days before the ICC mega event. The Indian team will leave on October 5, a week before the World Cup. BCCI is planning to organize two practice matches and one more practice match.

Australia-New Zealand practice match

The Indian team will play two warm-up matches against hosts Australia and New Zealand on October 17 and 19. The board is contemplating another warm-up match for its team and is in touch with cricket boards of other countries for the same. The board official said that the Indian team under the leadership of Rohit Sharma will leave for Australia on 5 October. India’s B-team will play in the ODI series against South Africa under the coaching of VVS Laxman.
