Big news for bike racing enthusiasts. The first race of the Moto Grand Prix World Championship is going to be held next year at the Buddha International Circuit in Greater Noida. This race will be known as ‘Grand Prix of India’.

India will host the first Moto Grand Prix World Championship race next year at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida. It has been named ‘Grand Prix of India’. Dorna, owner of the commercial rights of Moto Grand Prix and Noida-based race promoter Fairstreet Sports, on Wednesday signed an MoU to host the premier two-wheeler racing event in India for the next 7 years.

Contestants from 19 countries will participate in this competition, which will boost tourism and business in the country apart from employment. The promoter of the tournament gave this information in a release. “Moto Grand Prix is also planning to launch ‘Moto E’ which will not only be the first in Asia but will also be the first green initiative with total ‘Zero Carbon Emissions’.”

Buddha International Circuit will host the Moto Grand Prix race where the Formula One Indian Grand Prix was held from 2011 to 2013, but was canceled due to financial, income tax and bureaucratic constraints.
