IND vs NZ: India will become number one by defeating New Zealand, match will be held in Indore today
The Indian cricket team will try to win the three-match ODI series 3-0 by defeating New Zealand in the third match as well as landing at the Holkar Stadium in Indore today. This will be the second consecutive ODI series in which Team India Will win with this score line. Prior to this series, India defeated Sri Lanka 3–0 in the ODI series. There is no lack of confidence in Team India after winning the first two matches of the current series. The team management wants the middle order of the team to perform better.
Team India has already won the series and hence India can make some changes in their bowling in this match. Opener Shubman Gill is in excellent form. He scored a double century in the first match and scored an innings of 40 runs in the second low-scoring match. Skipper Rohit Sharma has also got off to a good start and will aim to convert it into a big score.
These players will have to show their strength
The Indian team would be well aware that despite having an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series, only Gill and Rohit have scored runs so far. There is also the fact that other batsmen haven’t got enough chances, so players like Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav will get a good chance to practice batting in match conditions.
Umran-Chahal will get a chance!
There could also be changes in the bowling department with fast bowler Umran Malik and leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal being retained in the squad. The Indian bowlers gave New Zealand a chance to score more than 300 runs after bowling them out for 131 for six in the first ODI but did well in the second match in Raipur. Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami and Hardik have done well so far while the spinners have also played their part well.
Will save New Zealand from shame!
New Zealand will try their best to prevent India from making a clean sweep by winning this match and would like to boost their morale before the T20 series. New Zealand is missing former captain Kane Williamson in batting. New Zealand’s top six batsmen have scored 40 or more only seven times in the last 30 innings. So far only Michael Bracewell has been able to make an impact in the batting order. Apart from this, Santner also batted well in the first match in Hyderabad. The Holkar Stadium pitch is considered to be batsmen friendly and here the bowlers have to struggle a lot to control the batsmen.
