Indian team’s star fast bowler Renuka Singh has been selected by the ICC as the Emerging Player of the year 2022 in women’s cricket. That is, she is the most rising female cricketer of the last year. Last year, Renuka took 40 wickets in 29 matches which included ODIs and T20s. Renuka is a resident of Himachal Pradesh.

 

 

Renuka’s performance in ODIs and T20s in 2022

Renuka took 18 wickets in ODIs at an average of 14.88. During this, his economy rate was 4.62. Renuka took 22 wickets in T20 at an average of 23.95. During this, his economy rate was 6.50. Renuka Singh, 26, has emerged as Team India’s biggest star in the last one year. He troubled the batsmen a lot with his swing bowling. Renuka did not allow Jhulan Goswami to lack success in both the formats with her bowling. Out of a total of 18 wickets in ODIs, Renuka took eight wickets in two matches against England, while taking seven wickets in the series against Sri Lanka.

Most reliable bowler of Indian team

Renuka performed brilliantly in seven T20 matches against Australia last year and surprised the Australian batsmen with his swing. During this he took eight wickets. Apart from this, Renuka also performed brilliantly in Commonwealth Games and Asia Cup. Including these two tournaments, he took 17 wickets in 11 matches at an economy of just 5.21. Capable of swinging the ball both outside and inside, Renuka has emerged as one of India’s most reliable bowlers in the years to come.
