Defending champions Belgium beat New Zealand 2-0 to enter the semi-finals of the Men’s Hockey World Cup. They will now face the winner of the match between South Korea and Netherlands tomorrow. When Australia won 4-3 against Spain after a tough fight. He will now face the winner of tomorrow’s England-Germany match in the quarter-finals.
Belgium started aggressively and took a 2-0 lead in the first half. After which New Zealand strengthened the defense and Belgium could not score much. Tom Boon and Florent van Ubel scored for Belgium.
In the second quarter-final, Spain started on the offensive and took a 2–0 lead thanks to goals from Javier Gaspert and Marc Reussen. However, Australia came back to take a 4–2 lead thanks to two goals from Flynn Ogilvie, Aran Zalewski and Jeremy Howard. Marc Miralles scored for Spain, but his team lost. However, Spain maintained a 2-1 lead at half time.
