France beat Austria in the Nations League, goal scored by Kylian Mbappe and Olivier Giroud

Kylian Mbappe and Olivier Giroud scored a goal each as France beat Austria 2–0 in a Nations League football tournament.

The match between France and Australia was goalless till the first half but Mbappe gave the team the lead in the second half. He made a fool of three defenders on Olivier’s pass in the 56th minute. This is his 28th goal in international football. Olivier then doubled the team’s lead in the 65th minute with a goal from Antoine Griezmann’s cross.

It was the 49th goal of his career and he is just two goals behind Thierry Henry’s national record of 51 goals. Despite this win, France are already out of the race for the trophy in the Nations League. But Croatia, Belgium and the Netherlands have won their respective matches to keep themselves in the race for the last four, which will take place in June next year. Croatia beat Denmark 2-1, Netherlands beat Poland 2-0 and Belgium beat Wales 2-0.
