Djokovic will face Rublev for the 13th time in the quarterfinals

Former number one and record nine-time Australian Open Grand Slam men’s singles title winner Novak Djokovic of Serbia once again entered the quarter-finals of the tournament at Melbourne Park. Fourth seed Djokovic defeated 22nd seed Alex de Minor of Australia 6-2, 6-1, 6-2. Djokovic, who has been battling a foot injury for the last two weeks, played brilliantly and dominated throughout the match. Djokovic, who won three consecutive Grand Slams from 2019 to 2021, reached the quarterfinals for the 13th time and his 25th consecutive Grand Slam win. Fifth seed Andrey Rublev of Russia defeated Holger Runen of Denmark 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 in a five-set match.

American young player Ben Shelton, performing brilliantly, defeated his own countryman JJ Wolff 6-7, 2-6, 6-7, 7-6, 6-2 to enter the quarter-finals of the debut Grand Slam. In the fourth round final, Tommy Paul of America defeated 24th seed Roberto Batista of Spain 6-2, 4-6, 6-2, 7-5. This will be his first quarter-final. Khachanov and Sebastian Korda will face Czech Republic’s Tsitsipas and Jerry Lehka in the first quarter-final and the second semi-final.
