Commonwealth Games 2022: Achanta Sharath Kamal reaches semi-finals of table tennis men’s singles category
Birmingham, 6 August (H.C.). India’s star table tennis player Achanta Sharath Kamal has entered the semi-finals of table tennis men’s singles category in the Commonwealth Games 2022.
Sharath defeated Yong Izak Kwek of Singapore in the quarterfinal match to enter the semi-finals. Sharath defeated Quake 4-0 (11-6, 11-7, 11-4, 11-7) to reach the semi-finals.
Earlier today, India’s Manika Batra and Diya Parag and Sreeja Akula and Reeth Tennyson entered the women’s doubles quarterfinals.
Manika and Diya defeated Omehani Hosseinli of Mauritius 3-0 (11-5, 115, 11-3) 3-0 (11-5, 115, 11-3) to make it to the quarterfinals.
Another Indian women’s doubles pair of Sreeja Akula and Reeth Tennyson also made it to the quarterfinals. The Indian pair defeated Thomas Wu Zhang, Chloe Anna and Lara Whitton of Wales 3-0 (11-7, 11-4, 11-3) to reach the quarterfinals.
