BCCI likely to earn Rs 4,000 crore from women’s IPL

The BCCI is likely to fetch at least Rs 4,000 crore from the auction of five IPL women’s teams to be held on Wednesday. Top corporate houses of this league will try their best to buy the team. According to market experts, each team can get Rs 500 to 600 crore in the sealed bid auction. There is a lot of potential in the women’s IPL. Some companies may bid more than Rs 500 crore but it is unlikely to reach more than Rs 800 crore. However, BCCI will not complain because it is certain that they will get many times more money than expected.

More than 30 companies have bought the auction documents for Rs 5 crore to buy the women’s IPL team, including 10 companies that own the men’s IPL team. Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders are also keen to buy a team in the women’s IPL. It has also bought teams in several other world-class T20 leagues. If a franchise makes a successful bid of Rs 500 crore for five years, it will have to spend Rs 100 crore per year. The five-team women’s IPL will be played in Mumbai in March.
