Indian women’s hockey team: India on Thursday participated in the upcoming Commonwealth Games. Announced for the 18-member Indian women’s hockey team. 3 changes to the World Cup squad

Rajni Etimarpu has been selected as the second goalkeeper in place of Bichu Devi Kharibam in the World Cup squad for the Commonwealth Games team only 3 changes. Sonika (midfielder), a member of the World Cup squad, has not been included in the Commonwealth Games squad. Forward Sangeeta Kumari has been selected as a substitute for the World Cup but she is a member of the Commonwealth team.

India are placed in Pool A along with England, Canada, Wales and Dhana. India will start their campaign against Dhana on 28 July. The Indian women’s team has been selected for the FIH Pro League matches against Belgium and Netherlands following a hamstring injury.

Rani Rampal will not play in Pro League

Queen will not play in 4 European stage matches of Pro League, has lost her place in World Cup squad, India finished fourth in Gold Coast 2014 Commonwealth Games, lost to England in bronze medal match, Indian team now in Birmingham doing. The team finished third in the FIH Pro League, behind Argentina and the Netherlands.
