‘Will not give even an inch of land’: Eknath Shinde on Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute

CM Eknath Shinde has given a big statement on the ongoing border dispute between Maharashtra and Karnataka. He said that his government will not let anyone leave even an inch of land in Maharashtra. Shinde said that we are trying to provide justice to the Marathi people in the border areas. We will not let even an inch of land go anywhere. He further said that it is the responsibility of our government to solve the problems of 40 villages. Earlier, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had condemned the statement of Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on the border dispute. He said that it seems that CM Bommai of Karnataka has suddenly been forced to claim 40 villages of Maharashtra. Earlier, Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Ajit Pawar had demanded the intervention of the Center in this matter.

What is the whole matter?

In fact, Bommai tweeted, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has given a ‘provocative’ statement on the Karnataka-Maharashtra border issue and his dream will never come true. Our government is committed to protect the country’s land, water and borders. In fact, Fadnavis had said that no village in Maharashtra would go to Karnataka. He tweeted that the state government will fight vigorously in the Supreme Court to get Marathi speaking villages including Belgaum-Karwar-Nipani.
