Weather Alert: Rainfall continues in North India, after the next 12 hours, there will be record breaking rain in these states

New Delhi: In many states including UP and Uttarakhand of North India, the rains have continued since morning, due to which there is a significant drop in the temperature. The people had to face problems due to the torrential rains on the previous day as well. Due to continuous rain, rivers, streams and ponds are running in spate.

Due to heavy rains in the northeastern states, flood situation prevails, due to which NDRF teams have been deployed for rescue. On the other hand, heavy rains are being seen in South India. Hundreds of people have lost their lives across the country so far. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heavy rain in all parts of the country.

  • Heavy rain likely in these states

According to the IMD, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers throughout the day in Himachal Pradesh and Haryana including UP, Uttarakhand. Many people have lost their lives due to rain related activities in Kerala. IMD has issued rain warning for many states even today. There is a possibility of rain in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

At the same time, there have been indications of increase in rain activities in the capital on the last day. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in many districts of Gujarat these days. Today’s minimum temperature in Ahmedabad is going to be 25 degree Celsius.

IMD has predicted heavy rain in all parts of Kerala. Once again the rain activity has intensified. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert warning for 11 districts including Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur.

  • There will be torrential rains in these states

According to the IMD, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka for the next three days. After this, a drop in the speed of rain can be seen. At the same time, from August 6, rain can be seen in Gujarat, East Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Goa, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha. Light to moderate rain is very likely over Meghalaya, Manipur, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Some parts of UP, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Punjab, Odisha, Maharashtra, Goa have also expressed the possibility of moderate rain in some areas.
