According to the information, the office bearers of the Electricity Employees Joint Struggle Committee have opened a front against the chairman M Devraj. Apart from the removal of the chairman, he is adamant about his other demands. Even in the meeting, the office bearers of the committee remained adamant on their demand. Although the Energy Minister asked to find a middle way, but when no other option was shown, he flatly refused to accept any demand. Thus the meeting ended inconclusive. On the other hand, the people of the state are facing undeclared power cuts.

On the one hand, the office bearers of Vidyut Karmachari Sangharsh Samiti were having a meeting with the minister, at the same time an FIR was registered against 22 leaders including employee leader Shailendra Dubey at Hazratganj police station in Lucknow. Here, it is feared that the talks will end inconclusively, that all these employee leaders may be arrested today. For this, the police has sought guidance from the higher officials.

According to the office bearers of Vidyut Karmacharis Joint Sangharsh Samiti, an agreement was reached with the government on December 3 last year. In this, it was decided that the committee will select the chairman and managing director of energy corporations. Along with this, orders for time-bound pay scale of three promotion posts will be issued and Power Sector Employees Protection Act will be implemented for electricity workers. Electricity Minister AK Sharma had asked for 15 days time to attack this agreement. Despite this, the power corporations did not implement this agreement. In protest against this, the Electricity Employees Joint Sangharsh Samiti has given a call for this strike.
