Republic Day 2023: India is celebrating its 74th Republic Day today. On January 26, a parade will be taken out on the Duty Marg on the occasion of Republic Day. Karti Path was earlier known as Rajpath. Egyptian President Abdul Fattah el-Sisi will attend as the chief guest. The country’s military, cultural, democratic and political strength will be displayed for one and a half hours from 10.30 am. A total of eight military units will take part in the parade. Troops marching by the army include the Mechanized Infantry, the Dogra Regiment, the Punjab Regiment, the Maratha Light Infantry, the Bihar Regiment and the Gurkha Brigade. There will be one unit each in the Air Force and Navy. BSF’s camel band will also be seen in the parade.

50 fighter aircraft were involved
