Rain Alert In India: The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for heavy snowfall in the western Himalayan region and rain in the plains of northwest India between 24 and 26 January. Between January 24 and January 26, a Western Disturbance will move eastwards, bringing additional moisture from the Arabian Sea to the western Himalayan region. On January 22 and 23 also, western Himalayan regions received moderate rain in the morning. Heavy rain or snowfall is likely over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on January 24 and 25.

Rain alert in North Indian states
