The Punjab Police has not yet made any official confirmation regarding the arrest of Amritpal Singh. But Waris Punjab De’s lawyer has claimed that Amritpal has been arrested.

Punjab Police Chief of ‘Waris Punjab De’ and fugitive Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh has been arrested. This claim is made by none other than the legal advisor of ‘Waris Punjab De’ Iman Singh Khara has done it. Khara claimed on Sunday that Amritpal Singh was arrested by the Punjab Police. Iman Singh Khara has also alleged that the Punjab Police wants to kill Amritpal Singh in a fake encounter. However, no official statement has come out from the Punjab Police regarding the arrest of Amritpal. He is still out of the custody of the police. Punjab Police is searching for him for the last 36 hours. In such a situation, it is not known how true is Khara’s claim.

Khara files petition in Punjab-Haryana HC
Iman Singh Khara, legal advisor of ‘Waris Punjab De’ has filed a petition in the Punjab-Haryana High Court regarding Amritpal Singh. In this petition, a demand has been made to present Amritpal. Khara has filed a writ petition. In the petition, the Punjab Police has been accused of illegally keeping Amritpal Singh in custody and Amritpal Singh’s life has also been told to be in danger.

Advocate Khara said that according to Article 21 (right to life) of the Indian Constitution, the police cannot kill anyone without due process of the court. Please tell that the High Court has refused to appoint a Warrant Officer in the matter at present. Taking cognizance of Khara’s petition, Justice Shekhawat of the High Court issued a notice to the Punjab government. At the same time, there will be a hearing in this matter tomorrow.
112 arrested so far
Please tell that the Punjab Police arrested 34 more supporters of Amritpal across the state on Sunday. So far 112 arrests have been made. But Amritpal is still far from the custody of the police. Khalistan supporter and the head of Waris Punjab De had escaped by dodging the police in Jalandhar on Friday. The police tried to stop his convoy but he somehow managed to escape.
