send notice to imams of jama masjid
The Delhi Commission for Women has decided to send notices to the Imams of Jama Masjid. Swati Maliwal has given information about this by tweeting. He said in his tweet, the decision to ban the entry of a single woman in Jama Masjid is wrong. Women have equal rights as men. I am issuing notice to the Imam of Jami Masjid. Swati Maliwal has said in her tweet that no one has the right to ban the entry of women.

What did the Shahi Imam of the mosque say
Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid Syed Ahmed Bukhari has given clarification on this decision. He said that we got some complaints that some girls are coming to the mosque with their boyfriends, so this decision was taken and if women want to come to Jama Masjid, they will have to come with their husbands or family members. He also said that there is no bar on women coming for Namaz.

strong reaction to the verdict
Some social workers have also opposed this order of Jama Masjid. Social activist Shahnaz Afzal has said that everyone has independent rights in India. Issuing such an order amounts to violating the Constitution, he said. Muslim National Forum spokesperson Shahid Saeed has also opposed this decision. He said that this is a wrong mindset and women are given a secondary status.
