Breastfeeding: Due to these reasons mother’s milk can become poison for babies, do not breastfeed even at this time

New Delhi – Breastfeeding for babies is considered very important for their physical development and healthy life. Babies should drink only breast milk from birth till 6 months. During this time they are forbidden to drink water or feed anything. Breastfeeding becomes even more important if the baby is born premature because breast milk contains nutrients and minerals that help babies fight many diseases and ailments. Apart from this, important antibodies are also present in breast milk which helps the baby to fight against bacteria and viruses.

Along with this, there also comes a time in the life of the mother when the doctors refuse to breastfeed the children, so let’s know when the child should not breastfeed, according to famous gynecologist Dr. Archana Dhawan Bajaj, mother’s milk is very important. But there are some exceptions to this when babies should not drink breast milk. Especially when the mother is taking any medicines, apart from this, the decision to stop, stop or not to start breastfeeding should be taken after consulting the doctor. Babies should not be breastfed, especially when other risks lead to breastfeeding, or when mothers are taking certain medications. Due to this their direct effect of medicine on children is wrong.

5 days after delivery

After 5 days of delivery, when the mother is infected with varicella, the mother should feed the baby with milk instead of breast-feeding.

If the mother has active tuberculosis or is untreated, then only after 2 weeks of proper treatment and after consulting a doctor, she can start breast-feeding the baby. If the mother takes illegal drugs such as cocaine or PCP, the mother should not breastfeed the baby.

Even if the mother has a disease like HIV AIDS, she should not give milk to the child.

The mother has suspected Ebola virus disease, even during this time the mother should not feed the child.

According to Dr. Archana Dhawan Bajaj, breast-feeding is recommended for better health of the child, but mothers should not breastfeed their child in these situations.
