At present in roadways, tickets were taken in the bus only by paying cash. Tickets are being deducted from the Electronic Ticket Issue Machine (ETIM) since the year 2018. At present most of the passengers want to make digital payment. In view of this, a proposal was sent to Roadways on behalf of SBI Bank. After approval of this proposal, software integration will be done in the ITIM machine. After this, the machine of the concerned operator will be linked to the debit-credit card, QR (scan). After this, the ticket can be obtained by making online payment.
Will have to pay more charge:
For online payment, the passenger will have to pay some additional charges. In this, Rs 100.40 will have to be paid for taking a ticket of Rs 100 by debit card and Rs 100.90 for ticket up to Rs 100 with credit card. The payment made by machines will come in the account of roadways. There will be no charge for paying by scan. At present, Roadways has about five thousand machines of Ebix Company. Earlier Roadways had started offline machines in 2010. Now online machines are running from 2018.
