Kolkata News: West Bengal teacher recruitment scam TMC leaders arrested in Shantanu Banerjee Akash Ghosh, a close aide, has been taken into custody by ED officials. After former Trinamool leader Shantanu Banerjee, who was arrested on Saturday, broke into the Balagarh resort, ED officials went to Chandra Colony and found Supratim Ghosh alias Supratim Ghosh, a close friend of Shantanu there.Akash Ghosh K raided here. Two officers of ED rang the bell at the house of two officers. As soon as Akash’s father came out, the investigators searched for his son. Akash’s father replied that his son is not at home now, he has gone to work. He was called home.

When Akash came home, both the ED officials took him with them and left for Shantanu Banerjee’s resort. According to ED sources, ED officials brought him to the resort and took him to different places. It is understood that at present he is being interrogated there.

According to ED and local sources, Akash Ghosh is very close to Shantanu Banerjee. He used to be a shadow partner of Shantanu Banerjee. According to ED sources, Supratim Ghosh alias Akash is working as a contractual employee in Jeerat College. According to ED sources, an attempt can be made to find out when and where Shantanu used to go, whom he used to meet and when he used to talk to Akash on the phone.

Akash and Shantanu were student leaders in college

Akash’s father Dilip Ghosh said in this regard, “Aakash has no business relation. I don’t know why ED officials came to my house? He came and asked the name and address of the son. Shantanu is related to Akash’s grandfather and brother. He lived in the neighborhood. My son is graduate. He works as a clerk in Jeerat College. I cannot say how he got the job, but Shantanu did not help in getting the job. Supratim said, “I have known Shantanu for a long time. I got a job in college on the basis of my merit, Shantanu did not give me a job. Supratim alias Akash told that he was once the general secretary of the student union of Jeerat College.

Huge assets have been found with Shantanu Banerjee

Significantly, on this day the ED raided several properties related to Shantanu in Balagarh, Hooghly. Apart from Chandra’s resort, the officials also visited Shantanu’s flat in Chunchuda and a two-storey house in Bandel in the name of wife Priyanka Banerjee. Broke the lock of the two-storey house and entered inside. Later, the ED officials were again seen locking the house while leaving.
