Anti Mafia Task Force identifies 62 criminals, seizes assets worth Rs 2.5 thousand crore

The Anti-Mafia Task Force, formed to destroy the mafia’s economic empire, has so far identified 62 criminals and seized assets worth Rs 2.5 thousand crore from them. Out of which 41 have been punished by campaigning. Nine people have died in this encounter. Additional Director General of Police Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Anti-Mafia Task Force has been formed.

As a result, out of 21 cases, 12 have been pardoned and 29 of their accomplices have been punished. Out of which two criminals were sentenced to death. So far, assets worth Rs 2,524 crore have been seized or destroyed by the identified offenders. In district Badar, 24 bails of 70 criminals were canceled and 311 history sheets were opened. While 318 arms licenses have been cancelled.

Prashant Kumar said that charge framing has been done in seven cases related to Mukhtar Ansari so far this year.
