The construction of a grand Ram temple is going on in full swing in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Every day some videos from there come on social media. Thousands of laborers are working day and night. The idol of Lord Rama that will be installed in this temple will be carved from the holy Shaligram stone. This stone was extracted from the Kali river of Nepal. Wherever this rock was passing, devotees came on the streets to see it. Now a huge rock was sent to Ayodhya from Karkala in Karnataka.
A huge stone has been sent to Ayodhya from Karkala in Udupi district of Karnataka to build the idol of Lord Rama for the proposed Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. VHP sources said that the workers of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal first worshiped the rock and then loaded it in a big truck and sent it to Ayodhya.
Rock brought from Karnataka
V Sunil Kumar, Minister of Energy, Kannada and Culture Department of Karnataka also participated in this worship ceremony. Kumar represents Karkala in the state legislature. This rock is known as Nellikaru stone and has unique properties. This rock has been used in the making of many famous idols which have been installed at prominent places. This rock was selected by ‘rock’ experts from a small hill situated on the banks of Tungabhadra river. Sources said that stones are being brought from different parts of the country including Nepal for the idol of Lord Ram.
