Z+ security given to NDA’s presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu

The central government has provided 24-hour Z+ series security to NDA presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu through the departure of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Former Jharkhand governor and tribal leader Draupadi Murmu will be the candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the next presidential election. On Tuesday, party president JP Nadda announced his candidature after a meeting of the parliamentary board, the apex policy-making body of the BJP. However, more than 20 names were sought for NDA candidates. But in the NDA meeting, the name of former Jharkhand governor and tribal leader Draupadi Murmu has been announced.

A day after the announcement of her candidacy for the post of President, Draupadi Murmu performed puja at the Jagannath Temple in Rairangpur, where Murmu cleaned the Shiva temple before offering prayers.

 

 

Draupadi Murmu’s life is full of struggles

NDA’s presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu has a beautiful and wonderful story of the inner strength of the world’s largest democracy. Draupadi, who started her political journey as a councillor, is set to become the country’s first president and second woman president from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.

The journey of 64-year-old Draupadi from Orissa’s most backward and Santhal community has been full of struggles. Due to financial constraints, Draupadi, who could get education only till graduation, was serving in the Government of Orissa. Later he chose BJP for politics and stayed with this party. His political career began in 1997 as a councillor.

 

 

He got his first chance to become an MLA in the year 2000 and later became a minister twice in the BJP-BJD government. In 2015, she was made the first woman governor of Jharkhand. Murmu celebrated his birthday on 20th June. Former President VV Giri was also born in Orissa, but originally from Andhra Pradesh.

Premature death of husband and two sons

Draupadi Murmu’s life reflects her vitality. Apart from being widowed in her youth, she was not devastated by the deaths of her two sons. During this, he continued to encourage the whole family including his only daughter Itishree. His eyes watered as he took oath as the Governor of Jharkhand.
