Under the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, the forest department of Narmada district will make tricolor sticks.

After the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign under the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi, the forest department of Narmada district has received orders for bamboo sticks. People of tribal Kotwalia community have got employment due to getting stake order for tricolor. People of tribal Kotwalia community have got employment on a large scale. The bamboo produced during bamboo cultivation is given free of cost to the local people.

A large number of sticks are also required to hoist the national flag on such a large scale and these sticks will be supplied by the forest department of Narmada district of South Gujarat.

Neeraj Kumar, Deputy Conservator of Forests of Narmada Forest Department said that we have received orders for bamboo sticks from the Revenue and Panchayat Department. We have already covered about 275 people from Kotwalia community of Dediapara, Sorapada, Piplod, Sagai, Fulsar and Sagbara range areas of the district. The bamboo produced during the bamboo improvement campaign is given free of cost to the people of the forest area and the people of Kotwalia society.

Recently, the Chief Minister inaugurated a bamboo based skill development center at Dediapara. In the workshop established in this skill development center, people of Kotwalia community get employment from this bamboo. Narmada district is a tribal area and majority of the people of Kotwalia community earn their livelihood by selling bamboo products. He has got continuous employment.
