There is no drinking water in Yamunanagar’s village Chanchak for two months, women boil
Yamunanagar, May 13 (H.S.). On Friday, under the leadership of Congress leader Pinky Chappar, women demonstrated Matka in the village Chanchak of Sadhaura block of Yamunanagar, regarding the shortage of drinking water for two months. Pinky Chappar said that the women of the village are eating stumbling blocks for drinking water. He said that after walking 2 km away, he was bringing water from the tap in the graveyard in the forests. The whole village is worried about drinking water. Livestock, elderly, women and small children are very worried.
He said that there was only one government tube well in the entire village, it has got damaged. For this, the villagers have also met the officials of the Public Health Department for a long time. But the problem was not resolved. He, along with hundreds of women, went to the cemetery on the spot and protested against the government and officials by taking a pot.
Pinky Chappar said that the government and the officials have become completely sloppy. They have no interest in the works of public interest. Because for the last two months, the government and officials have not done anything for drinking water. He demanded immediate action against the responsible officials. He said that if the problem of drinking water is not resolved soon, then there will be a hunger strike.
