The state is getting 1 lakh per day revenue from Hotel Alaknanda
Haridwar, June 23 (H.S.). The Alaknanda Hotel, which was acquired in the partition of Uttarakhand from Uttar Pradesh, is getting a lot of revenue. The state is getting revenue of one lakh rupees every day from Alaknanda Hotel, which came in the part of Uttarakhand after asset distribution due to the joint efforts of the BJP government that won again in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. This information was given by the Managing Director of Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Swati Bhadauria in a conversation with the media on Thursday.
Managing Director Swati told that after the formation of the state, the issue of asset distribution between Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand was hanging for the last 21 years. Hotel Alaknanda was also in the possession of UP. This happened for the first time in the year 2017, when the same party government came in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The asset dispute began to settle after Yogi Adityanath became the Chief Minister in Uttar Pradesh and Trivendra Rawat of the BJP became the Chief Minister in Uttarakhand. During this, the triple engine was also mentioned a lot in the political corridors.
On the other hand, as there is a single government at the Centre, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, the highest expectation of the people was regarding asset sharing, which was not resolved in the last 16 years due to different political parties. After Trivendra Singh Rawat became the Chief Minister in Uttarakhand, for the first time, meaningful efforts were started regarding the distribution of assets between Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. During this whole 5 years were taken in this process and now once again in the year 2022, when BJP waved again in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, the results of these efforts are being seen.
He told that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited his native village during his visit to Uttarakhand, besides he handed over the Alaknanda Hotel in Haridwar to the Uttarakhand government, taking a big step regarding the distribution of assets between Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Till then this hotel was being operated by the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department. Inaugurated the newly constructed guest house of Uttar Pradesh on the land given by Uttarakhand. The Alaknanda Hotel handed over from Uttar Pradesh to Uttarakhand is currently being operated by the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam.
Swati Bhadauria, managing director of Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam, said that after the partition, since GM VN got the operation of Alaknanda Hotel, the hotel is earning a lot from this hotel. He told that every day more than one lakh revenue is earned from Alaknanda Hotel. Not only this, Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam is also modernizing its Rahi Guest House in Haridwar. It is being upgraded and developed into a luxury hotel. After this, Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam will be able to get good revenue from Haridwar.
