Ahmedabad : The incident of traders falling prey to honey traps has come to the fore once again. In which a very beautiful looking girl befriended a businessman through a dating app and started the game of having a physical relationship by calling him to her house. Then two people hiding in the house threatened to file a case of rape against the businessman and demanded 5 lakhs. The name of that beautiful girl who is seen in the custody of Chandkheda Police is Kavita Nayak. Ramesh Suthar has also been arrested along with him. Both these people along with one of their friends implicated the businessman and extorted lakhs of rupees.
If we talk about the incident in detail, then 20 days ago a girl named Kavita, who lives in Ambawadi area and is doing business near Asarwa Idgah circle, got a message on her mobile phone in social media application named Quack Quack and both Became friends and exchanged each other’s mobile numbers. 12 days ago, Kavita sent a message to the businessman and sent the location of his house and called him at home, the businessman went home.
After which on July 28, Kavita again messaged the businessman and called at home and said that her husband was going to Surat city. On July 29, when the businessman went to the girl’s house, the girl closed the door of the house and took the businessman to her bedroom and took off her clothes and grabbed the businessman’s hand to have a physical relationship. However, at the same time a man suddenly entered the house, assaulted the businessman and threatened to implicate him in the rape case.
Meanwhile, another person had also entered the house and identified the previous person as Ramesh by identifying himself as a lawyer. Together, the two youths grabbed the businessman’s mobile phone and a person named Ramesh threatened the businessman that if he did not give 5 lakh rupees, he would be implicated in the rape case. The trader finally gave Rs 70,000 saying that he does not have Rs 5 lakh at present. Later another person demanded Rs 2 lakh. So the businessman transferred two lakh rupees from his account and then the businessman left.
On August 1, the businessman received a message on Instagram asking for money, saying that ‘Tu dar mat tera proof mein paas sev hai mein lawyer hoon tu baar baar raha hai hai’, so the businessman blocked the number. Later, fearing repeated demands of money by both the accused, a complaint was lodged at Chandkheda police station.
In this case, the police have intensified efforts to nab the accused named Bhavesh involved in this crime by arresting a girl named Kavita Nayak and Ramesh Suthar. Also this gang has investigated to find out whether any other trader has been caught in the honey trap and thus extorted. In the preliminary investigation of the arrested girl, it has been found that her husband is working in the sessions court. Along with this, the police has also started investigation that when Rs 2 lakh was transferred in the account of Kavita’s husband, whether the businessman is involved in this crime.
