Ram Mandir: Rs 22 crore check bounced for Ram temple
New Delhi: 15,000 checks worth Rs 22 crore have bounced in the fundraising campaign being run for the construction of Ram temple. In this regard, the treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust Govind Dev Giri Maharaj said that the sentiments of those who gave the check are not wrong. He has made a mistake somewhere. He was speaking at the conclusion of the two-day meeting of the Ram Mandir Construction Committee at Circuit House, Ayodhya.
Mahant Govind Dev Giri said, “Many mistakes have been made while paying the cheque. Barring errors in date and amount, some checks have bounced due to mismatch. This is a minor mistake. Sometimes devotees send checks, but ignore mistakes.
“The trust does not believe that check bounce is a bad sentiment of the devotees. Ram Mandir Trust did not force the devotees. No recovery made. All the people donated blood voluntarily. A donation of Rs 3,500 crore has been received.
