Chandigarh : Another blast took place on Tuesday outside the Intelligence Office in Mohali, Punjab. The media has claimed that this is the second blast in 24 hours. On the other hand, SSP Vivek Soni has denied this news. He said no other explosion was reported. The Punjab Police on Tuesday said they have found some important evidence in connection with the rocket-propelled grenade attack on the Police Intelligence Headquarters in Mohali and the matter will be resolved soon.
Director General of Police (DGP) VK Bhavra called a meeting of senior officers. The attacker took place in front of the Police Intelligence Unit Headquarters later in the afternoon. The incident is being seen as a major failure of the intelligence system, as the building houses the offices of the state’s Counter Intelligence Wing, Special Task Force and some other units. No casualties have been reported in the incident. Political parties have described the incident as disturbing and shocking.
