MP: Shivraj took emergency meeting regarding Guna incident, instructions to remove Gwalior IG

Bhopal, May 14 (H.S.). Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan called an emergency meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence office on Saturday morning to get detailed information regarding the incident of firing between policemen and poachers in Guna district last night and the death of policemen. Chief Minister Chouhan instructed in the meeting that the strictest action should be taken by the police against the perpetrators of this incident immediately. A detailed inquiry will be conducted into the incident. Chief Minister Chouhan blamed the Inspector General of Police, Gwalior, who reached the spot late and directed him to be removed. Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra was present in the meeting. Director General of Police Sudhir Saxena virtually attended.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the martyrdom of all the three policemen who gave martyrdom in this incident, Sub Inspector Rajkumar Jatav, constable Neeraj Bhargava and constable Santram will not be allowed to go in vain. He has sacrificed his life on the altar of duty. By giving them the status of a martyr, a samman nidhi of one crore rupees will be given to the family members. Along with this, one member of the family will be taken in government service.

The Chief Minister said that the policemen on duty who were martyred should be cremated with respect. Ministers, public representatives and senior police officers should attend the funeral. He said that our police friends have given martyrdom while fighting the poachers. In this incident, such action will be taken against the guilty criminals which will become an example in history. The perpetrators have been identified.

The Chief Minister has said that strict action should be taken in the matter. This action should create instance. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Home Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Manish Rastogi, Principal Secretary Public Relations Raghavendra Kumar Singh, ADG Adarsh ​​Katiyar and OSD Chief Minister’s Office Yogesh Chaudhary were present in the meeting.
