In the legislature party meeting, Uddhav Thackeray indicated to leave the post of Chief Minister

Mumbai, 21 June (H.S.). Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray has hinted at quitting the chief minister’s post in the legislature party meeting held on Tuesday amid the emerging political crisis in Maharashtra politics. He has appointed Shivdi MLA Ajay Chaudhary as the leader of the legislature party in the meeting. Uddhav Thackeray has offered the chief minister’s post to MLA Eknath Shinde.

Amidst the political crisis in Maharashtra, the Chief Minister called a meeting of all the MPs, MLAs and office bearers of Shiv Sena today. Only 28 out of 56 MLAs attended the meeting of Shiv Sena Legislature Party presided over by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. In the meeting, Uddhav Thackeray said that two and a half years ago, when the Mahavikas Aghadi government was formed, he became the Chief Minister due to some special reasons. He is ready to step down as Chief Minister for the same purpose.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena’s Eknath Shinde along with his supporting MLAs is staying at Le Meridien Hotel on Dumas Road in Surat, Gujarat. Shinde has tweeted saying that he is the self. Balasaheb is a staunch Shiv Sainik of Thackeray. Most of the Shiv Sena MLAs are angry with the Mahavikas Aghadi government. The political crisis in the state has deepened after the Legislative Council elections.

Shiv Sena MLA Eknath Shinde has rebelled against his own party. The Chief Minister is trying to calm it down, but the effect of the rebellion in Shiv Sena has become likely to be visible on the Maha Vikas Aghadi of the state. In the meeting of Shiv Sena, the MLAs also talked about teaching a lesson to the traitors. These MLAs said that those who betray the Shiv Sena will not be allowed to roam in their constituency.
