Heavy rain in North Maharashtra; Water in homes and shops, severe floods in the river
Nashik / Ahmednagar : Rain news, rain in Maharashtra: It rained in Nashik city. Many shops in Old Nashik were flooded. Heavy rains lashed Ahmednagar city and adjoining areas during the night. The Sina river has been flooded due to the heavy rain that has been pouring in for nearly four hours. Meanwhile, Monsoon will become active again in the state in the next 48 hours. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in the state from August 5 to 11. Heavy rain has been warned over Konkan, Goa, Ghatmati.
Heavy rains lashed Ahmednagar city and adjoining areas during the night. This rain has filled the Sina river with water. The flood water has entered the houses on the banks of the river. Due to overnight rains in the east-north parts of the city, the water level of the river is rising and bridges across the river at Kalyan Road and Malegaon in the city have been submerged.
Since the Sina River flows right next to the city, many people have built their homes right next to the river. Citizens say that even after the Sina river was flooded, the municipal corporation has not given any information about the flood to the houses built on the banks of the river.
Meanwhile, Nashik city also received heavy rains for half an hour yesterday. The effect of this rain was such that the view of the city became less. So all the vehicles were moving slowly. Many streets of the city were flooded. Water entered many shops in Old Nashik.
The Saswad city and the area of Purandar taluka of Pune received heavy rains during the night. About 85 mm of rain has been recorded. For the first time in this monsoon, it rained heavily here. It flooded fields, roads and public places.
