Four militants arrested in Zilla Parishad candidate Vikram Rajat murder case
Chatra, 23 June (H.S.). Chatra police have arrested four TSPC militants, revealing the murder case of Zilla Parishad candidate Vikram Rajat. The arrested militants include Ravindra Ganjhu alias Manikant alias Chaudhary, Aditya Ganjhu, Bahadur Oraon and Suresh Oraon. Two pistols, two country-made pistols, 165 bullets, a magazine 4 mobile and two Apache bikes have been recovered from them.
Chatra SP Rakesh Ranjan said on Thursday that Zilla Parishad candidate Vikram Raja was shot dead next to the Lavalong CRPF camp on June 15. In view of the seriousness of the matter, a SIT team was formed under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Police Officer Simaria Ashok Ravidas. The team, revealing the murder case, arrested four militants.
The arrested militants said that the main conspirators of the massacre are the commanders of the banned terrorist organization TSPC, Avskar Ganjhu and Bhaskar alias Veerappan. During interrogation, the militants told that Vikram was contesting the Zilla Parishad elections against the wishes of the militant organization. Due to this, he was killed for fear of reducing the influence of TSPC in the area.
There are more than 21 cases registered against the arrested Devendra Ganjhu while three against Aditya and three against Bahadur Oraon. The SP said that the armed forces including Vivek Kumar Nandan Kumar Singh Rohit Sao, Bholanath Pramanik were involved in the raiding team.
