Former Union Minister Pandit Sukh Ram passes away at Delhi’s AIIMS Hospital
Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Pandit Sukh Ram Sharma has passed away. He was 94 years old. Sukh Ram was admitted to AIIMS Hospital in Delhi on May 7, where he was on ventilator. Sukhram’s grandson gave this information by sharing a Facebook post. Ashra Ram, the grandson of Sukhram, wrote in a Facebook post that Adiyu dada ji ab phone nahi karenge (Goodbye dada ji, now the phone won’t ring).
Please tell that Sukh Ram had a brain stroke on May 4. After which he was admitted to a hospital in Mandi (Himachal Pradesh). He was later airlifted to Delhi AIIMS.
Significantly, Sukh Ram was born on 27 July 1927. Pandit Sukh Ram served as the Minister of Communications and Information Technology from 1993 to 1996. He was a Lok Sabha member from Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh and won five assembly elections and three Lok Sabha elections.
