Elephant barely saved from hitting the train, people praised the loco pilot

Recently there have been many such incidents in which the loco pilot stopped the train on the tracks due to personal reasons. In the recent incident, protesting those incidents, the loco pilot stopped the train on the way to save an elephant from being hit by the train. The incident took place in North Bengal, where the loco pilot had to use the emergency brake to save the elephant while the animal was crossing the railway tracks. The Divisional Railway Manager shared the video of the incident on Twitter. The video is receiving praise from netizens for the kindness of the pilot.

In the video, the elephant can be seen very close to the train on the railway track. Looking at the distance between the train and the elephant, it seems that the situation is difficult to handle. However, the loco pilots handle the situation efficiently and apply emergency brakes in time to save the elephant. The loco pilots have been identified as RR Kumar and S. Made in the form of a kundu.

The video on Twitter has been captioned as, “LP & ALP of 15767 Up SGUJ-APDJ Intercity Express Shri RR Kumar and S Kundu suddenly tracked a wild elephant on KM 23/1 between Gulma-Sivok at 17.35 hrs yesterday. Saw the crossing and applied the brakes to control the speed of the train, to save the wildlife.”

In a similar incident between Nagarkata and Chalsa in north Bengal’s Jalpaiguri district, a wild elephant was spared courtesy a quick emergency brake pulled by loco pilots.
