Earthquake once again in Uttarakhand, tremors felt in Pithoragarh district
Pithoragarh: Tremors of earthquake have been felt in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 4.9 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake is being told 19 km away from Dharchula tehsil located in Pithoragarh district. This area is bordered by Nepal and China. There is no report of any loss of life or property due to the earthquake.
There is a continuous movement in the depths of the Himalayas. Due to this, earthquake tremors have been felt at different times in many parts of Uttarakhand present in the sensitive zone. Today on May 11, an earthquake of 4.6 magnitude occurred in Dharchula of Pithoragarh district at around 10.03 am. Its depth has been measured to be 38.5 km. More than 130 minor earthquakes have also occurred in Uttarakhand this year, many of which were not felt but were recorded in seismographs.
Earlier on February 12, earthquake tremors were felt. The magnitude of the earthquake has been recorded as 4.1. The epicenter of the earthquake was reported in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. Earthquake tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. It is being told that the earthquake intensity was 5.3 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was in Tajikistan.
