Delhi Fire Tragedy: PMNRF announces Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the victims of Mundka fire in Delhi, Rs 50,000 each to the injured

New Delhi: Delhi Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the massive fire that broke out in K Mundka on Friday. He also wished the injured a speedy recovery. According to the PMO, PM Modi has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each through the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for the families of those killed in the accident. Along with this, 50-50 thousand rupees will be provided to the injured.

So far 27 people have died in the accident

So far, bodies of 27 people have been recovered after a fire broke out at an electronics godown in Delhi’s Mundka. At least 12 people are reported to have been injured in the accident. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer District) Sameer Sharma said that around 50 people have been rescued after the accident. Rescue work is going on at the spot.

A fire broke out in an electronics company

Police said preliminary investigations have revealed that it was a three-storey commercial building usually used to provide office space for companies. The fire broke out on the first floor of the building where the company that manufactures CCTV cameras and routers is located. The police have taken the owner of the company into custody.
