Delhi Anti-Encroachment Drive: Bulldozer raids on illegal occupants in Mangolpuri, Delhi, preparations for action in New Friends Colony

New Delhi: Action is being taken against the occupation and illegal construction in Mangolpuri area of ​​North Delhi Municipal Corporation. After Shaheen Bagh, now the bulldozer of SDMC has reached New Friends Colony. People have been warned to remove their belongings otherwise action will be taken to remove the occupants.

The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (MMC) on Tuesday launched an anti-occupation drive in four of its areas. Meanwhile, New Friends Colony in Central Zone, Buddha Mandir, Gurdwara Road, D-1, D-2 Market in South Zone, Basant Kunj, Masoodpur Road, D-6 Flyover, Delhi Jal Board Road, Horse Wala in West Zone. The temple and the area around Raghubir Nagar will be removed. At the same time, the occupation will be removed from Nala Road, Sagarpur, BDO office, Chhawla and surrounding areas in Najafgarh zone. Southern Corporation Mayor Mukesh Suryan said that the action against the occupants would continue.

Earlier on Monday, action was taken against illegal occupation and occupation at Shaheen Bagh in South Delhi. There was a jam for two hours in protest against the action of South Delhi Municipal Corporation. Due to the uproar, the traffic between Sarita Vihar and Kalindi Kunj was severely affected from 11.30 am to 1.30 am, leaving people stranded.

The first lane from Sarita Vihar to Kalindi Kunj was closed for traffic due to people shouting slogans and heavy police force. At the same time, traffic came to a standstill in two lanes. Its effect was seen till Mathura Road, Ring Road and Badarpur. People had to face traffic jam around Ali village Badarpur, Ashram Chowk on Mathura Road.
