Country’s first Amrit Sarovar inaugurated in UP’s Rampur

Rampur, May 13 (H.S.). Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh inaugurated the country’s first Amrit Sarovar in Patwai village of Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh on Friday. The two ministers also unfurled the national flag installed in the premises of this Amrit Sarovar, built at a cost of Rs 60 lakh.

The ministers also enjoyed boating in Amrit Sarovar. Also, after reaching the food court, tasted the panipuri. After this Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Swatantra Dev Singh honored the former head, current head, village panchayat secretary and block development officer, who played an important role in the beautification of Amrit Sarovar.

With the establishment of this Amrit Sarovar, the Jal Shakti Minister gave a big message to the people across the state regarding water conservation. He said that apart from saving ground water, this Amrit Sarovar will also promote tourism.

With the inauguration of the country’s first Amrit Sarovar in Rampur, UP, the Yogi government has taken a step forward in the direction of saving groundwater. The Minister of Jal Shakti has given impetus to the campaign of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by inaugurating this Amrit Sarovar. Along with this, it has been indicated that in the coming time there will be no shortage of ground water in UP. Drinking water will also be available in sufficient quantity to the people of the state.

Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that this grand and beautiful ‘Amrit Sarovar’ built by the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will promote tourism along with water conservation. The participation of the common people, the cooperation of the villagers, the promptness of the Gram Panchayat and the district administration have been important behind its launch in a very short time.

Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh said that the availability of water and the scarcity of water determine the progress and speed of any country. Water is the basis of life. So it is our duty to save water.

Government preparing to build a large chain of Amrit Sarovars

Yogi government is preparing to create a big chain of Amrit Sarovars in the state. Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh informed that instructions have been given to the departmental officers to develop 789 ponds of the state as Amrit Sarovar. He told that greenery will also be made around these ponds. The Minister of Jal Shakti has also given instructions to the officers to take help of other departments like Forest and Garden.
